All in the family

There seems to be a distinguishable pattern here.
Local Farmer’s Insurance Agent Eric Olson graduated from Mammoth High School. His daughter Alicia followed suit in 2005.
Post-Mammoth, Eric then graduated from Whittier College. Alicia followed suit, graduating in 2009.
And now, as of January, daughter Alicia has joined her father as an Agent at the local Farmer’s branch (the office located across the hall from Mom Judy’s salon, Blazing Shears, on Mountain Boulevard [behind Norco].
So this is how it happened.
Upon finishing college, Alicia moved to Newport Beach, where she was tending bar and otherwise “living the life.” She hadn’t had any thoughts about selling insurance. Of course, she hadn’t had too many thoughts about attending Whittier College before her father talked her into it, but says “I had the time of my life [at college].”
Meanwhile, in the fall of last year, Eric was approached by a former employee who wished to reclaim her old job.
Eric thought about it, and began writing up a job description, but as he pondered the job description, he thought to himself, “I know someone else who might be interested … and she would be really good … she’s got great people skills.”
So he called his daughter.
And she said yes.
“In life, timing is everything,” says Eric. “This is a great opportunity for her. Given the shifts taking place within the healthcare industry … a new system calls for new expertise, and Alicia’s getting in at exactly the right time.”
