KidApolooza is coming!

KidApolooza, presented by the Mono County Office of Education, is putting the spotlight on fun and physical activities Saturday, June 8 at Mammoth Creek Park in Mammoth Lakes.
New this year is a one-mile family Fun Run, designed for the entire family, with kids as young as two (accompanied by an adult) encouraged to take part. Divisions include ages five to eight, nine to 12, and 13 and over. A family division is also open to families of at least three and crossing the finish line together. Strollers are welcome.
“The Fun Run is meant to help gain exposure for the North Star Counseling Centers, located in Mammoth Lakes and Bishop,” said Stacey Adler, Mono County Superintendent of Schools. “ All proceeds from the Fun Run will be donated to North Star.
Although The Fun Run kicks off the event at 9 a.m., KidApolooza will be open and ready for all to enjoy from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be family Zumba (a high energy dance-fitness class with Latin undertones), yoga for kids, hula hooping (a growing trend in the fitness world. There will also be over 30 interactive booths, lawn games, a bicycle rodeo, and a complete lineup of family friendly live entertainment including the lively Latino band Grupo El Virus and hip-hop headliners Alphabet Rockers.
