Flu vaccine clinics in Mono County

Flu vaccine clinics are lined up for the next few weeks in a Mono County community near you. See schedule below.
Sept. 18: Paradise Fire Station, 4:30-5:45 p.m.
Swall Meadows Fire Station, 6:15-7:15 p.m.
Sept. 19: Chalfant Community Center, 5-6 p.m.
Benton Community Center, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Sept. 24: June Lake Community Center, 5-6:30 p.m.
Oct. 1: Lee Vining Community Center, 5-6:30 p.m.
Oct. 7: Mammoth Lakes Elementary School, 4-7 p.m.
Oct. 10: Crowley Lake Community Center, 4-7 p.m.

Oct. 21: Mammoth Health Department, 8:30-11 a.m., by appt

Children may also receive flu vaccine at school clinics to be held this fall.
According to the Mono County Health Department, the flu vaccine is now recommended for everyone over the age of six months. FluMist® nasal spray is available for healthy, non-pregnant 2-49 year olds. The pneumococcal vaccine is also available. Free with Medicare Part B card present; otherwise $74.
Cost for Flu vaccine:
$10 for adults (19 yrs and older)
$2 for children (6mo -18 yrs)
Medicare Part B free with card present
