Jack Lunch's thoughts.

After I finished the interview with Dawn Vereuck (click here for interview), I asked her if she could get me a photograph of herself in a recent kitchen which she’s done (Vereuck owns Mountain Living and specializes in kitchen and bath design).

So Dawn sends me the photo below and says, “How many kitchens do you think I could sell with this?”

My reply is in the column title.

Le Centre’s Dance Recital takes place Friday night the 20th. Yes, full disclosure, my wife Sabrina Nioche owns the studio and my daughter’s in two numbers this year, but … I always just love these recitals. They’re brilliant and fun and spontaneous and a real joy – a perfect holiday treat.

On a somber note, this is Lara Kirkner’s last issue with The Sheet. She is moving on to take a media relations position with Mammoth Lakes Tourism.

If you’d told me I’d lose Lara and Andy in a single year, I would’ve said the odds of that are about as good as the Fifty Center’s 2012 People of the Year both getting fired by August …

Lara has just been terrific and I will miss her professionalism, good writing, good cheer and overall kindness. I wish her well … if she has to leave, I’m glad she’s still working for us as a community.
