Stopped By Cole!

Imagine losing a hockey game 13-1 and you are the goaltender. That was Devon Cole in her first competitive game. But the scoreline was only half the story. Sure, she let in thirteen goals, but she stopped 100 shots. “Every single one of the coaches on the other team wanted to know who she was,” Coach Patrick Bernard said.
Before moving to Mammoth, Devon had never played hockey. She grew up in Hermosa Beach with her parents, Jay and Colleen. They moved here to ski.
That was until Jeff Posey, co-director of Mammoth Youth Hockey (MYH), saw Devon in Vons wearing an LA Kings hat and asked if she wanted to come out and give hockey a try.
“I had never really played hockey before, but I was like yeah, sure, why not, and ever since then I’ve pretty much never left the rink.” Devon found her passion on the Mammoth Ice Rink and Posey found himself a future top-level goalie.
