New Deputy for Mono County

The Mono County Sheriff’s Department recently announced the addition of  Deputy John Pelichowski to its team.  According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Department, Deputy Pelichowski is an Eastern Sierra native that was hired through the ranks of the department.  Deputy Pelichowski started with the department in December 2006 as a Public Safety Officer, which encompasses the duties of jailer and dispatcher.  Through the support and authorization of the Mono County Board of Supervisors, in December 2009, Pelichowski was promoted to Deputy Sheriff and completed the six-month training program at the Riverside County Sheriff’s Academy held in Riverside, Calif.

Deputy Pelichowski graduated from the academy on June 17 at the top of his class academically and in firearms training and was the class president.
