MONET arrests seven in Mammoth Lakes
William Crosby
The Mono Narcotic Enforcement Team (MONET) concluded several investigations during the past week, which resulted in six search warrants in the town of Mammoth Lakes. These search warrant investigations subsequently lead to seven arrests.
William Crosby, 63, of Mammoth Lakes, was arrested for the sale of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale, and cultivation of marijuana. Crosby was the co-owner/operator of Mammoth420.com and is alleged to have been operating outside the state’s Medical Marijuana laws.
Rafael Becerra, 53, of Mammoth Lakes, was arrested for sale and possession of pirated DVD movies. This is a felony in California and carries very strict penalties both criminally and civilly by the Motion Picture Industry. In this particular case, the MONET team worked with the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) investigators.
Michael McMahon, 30, of Mammoth Lakes, was arrested for sale and possession of more than one pound of marijuana.
Arturo Alcala, 20, of Mammoth Lakes, and a juvenile accomplice, were arrested for conspiracy in selling cocaine.
Manuel Ruelas, 39, of Mammoth Lakes, was arrested for sale of cocaine.
Robert Borah, 54, of Mammoth Lakes, was arrested for sale of prescription medications and possession of stolen property.
All of those arrested were taken to and booked into the Mono County Jail with the exception of the juvenile who was taken to juvenile hall in Independence. Four of the seven arrested were undocumented citizens, and once adjudicate, will be held by the Department of Homeland Security/Immigration Customs Enforcement. –Mono County Sheriff’s Dept.
As Janet Incompetano might put it,the term “undocumented citizen” is a man-caused disaster.
Another term for “undocumented citizen” is “unregistered Democrat.”
William Crosby was operating within the law. He has filed a lawsuit against Mono County and I hope he wins.
William Crosby sued Mono County, its District Attorney Timothy Kendall, Mammoth Lakes, and its police Officers Seth Clark, Paul Robles and Rick Moberly, in Mono County Court.
