Obituary: Alberto G. Scatolini

Alberto Georgio Scatolini was born in Mansfield, Mass. He joined the United States Navy at the age of 19 and served his country proudly for 22 years as a Naval aviator.

Later Al worked at Sweetwater Union School District as a State Champion school bus driver.

In 1945 he wooed and wed local lass Joyce Brinton Hogan in San Diego.

Al is survived by their five sons, including Mammoth local Chuck Scatolini, as well as two daughters and five grandchildren.

His family will remember him as a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Cousin and Friend.

Services this past week included a viewing and praying of the Rosary on Monday, March 14, at Beardsley-Mitchell Mortuary. On Tuesday, March 15, a Mass and Reception at Sacred Heart Church in Ocean Beach was held, followed by full Military Funeral Honors at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
