You can participate in a pair of fundraisers held at Snowcreek Athleteic Club in honor Breast Cancer Awareness month.
On Oct. 15, Zumba instructors Kaysie Williams and Danetha Doe host a Party in Pink Zumba event from 10:30 a.m.-noon at SAC, 51 Club Drive in Mammoth. Tickets: just $10, open to the public.
And on Oct. 22, go Passionately Pink for the Cure® with the willPower & grace® team at Snowcreek Athletic Club on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 9 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. for one hour and 15 minutes of empowering barefoot movement! Come out with your bare feet … BEST PINK FLARE wins a special gift … get creative!

Huskies move Homecoming date
The Mammoth Huskies have moved the date for the school’s Homecoming events. According to an update on the Mammoth High School Boosters website, Lucerne Valley recently dropped its football program, so the Oct. 14 JV and Varsity games have been cancelled.
Homecoming is moved to Oct. 21 verus Mojave; the dance is on Oct. 22.
Round Valley “Toast to Arts”
It’s a fun and classy evening event when the Round Valley STEP Foundation for educational enrichment hosts its 2nd Annual “Toast to the Arts” Coppola wine tasting this Saturday, Oct. 15, from 6-8 p.m. at the Mountain Light Gallery in Bishop. Annual pumpkin patch
It’s almost time for the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! Chalfant Big Trees Farm hosts its Annual Pumkin Patch from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. at 395 Hunter Avenue in the Chalfant Valley. “Wild Spirits” celebration
Have a fun evening while supporting Eastern Sierra Wildlife Care during its Sixth Annual “Wild Spirits” fundraiser at Mountain Light Gallery Bishop, on Sunday, Oct. 23, from 6-8 p.m. This year the event honors the warm-hearted people of the Eastern Sierra. Don’t miss free food and drink, a silent auction (great for Christmas shopping), door prizes, Razzle the Raven, a new Red-tailed Hawk and a surprise visitor or two.
