When Sheet staffers were Ullrfest queen and king there were never any issues with snow … just sayin’.

“Wake up Winter,” aka the Ullrfest, takes place this Sunday, Jan. 15 in the Village at Mammoth. Presented by the Mammoth Lakes Chamber of Commerce, the event begins at 5:30 p.m. when participants can join in the “pray for snow” ceremony in the Plaza. Bring your cardboard (or wooden) cut out skis or snowboard to burn in the bonfire. Prize for best cut-out and other raffle prizes. The event is free. More info: 760.934.6717.
