Mammoth High School Associated Student Body members had a busy two weeks collecting toys for the Giving Tree Project.

ASB students challenged each grade-level to compete with each other to see which class could collect the most toys for the Mono County Health Department Giving Tree Project. The Giving Tree Project turns the gifts around and gives these toys to children of economically disadvantaged families. The high school collected around 60 new toys. Items included stuffed animals, clothing, toys, jackets, and other items for packaging and placement under the Christmas Tree. “Our expectations were far exceeded by our fabulous student body,” said ASB President Sharon McIntosh. ASB Advisor Lee Ann Eller said of the collection, “It was wonderful to see members of the high school step forward to help the community. I’m very proud of their giving spirit.”  The Junior Class was ahead in the competition at time of press, and is a strong contender for winning an ice cream sundae party courtesy of ASB.
