Safe Kids DNA collection / identification kits will also be available.

The Mammoth Lakes High School senior class of 2011 will also be hosting a bake sale fundraiser. Refreshments and baked goods will be available. All proceeds received will be used to offset graduation costs for the senior class.

This event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Mammoth Elementary School Parking lot. For additional information please contact Officer David Scobie at 760.934.2011 vm #55 or dscobie@mammothlakespd.org.

There will also be an Open Forum where questions can be asked of representatives of these agencies along with the Police and Fire Departments of Mammoth Lakes and the Mono County Sheriff’s Department. June 15 (reserve your spot in May): While Mono and Inyo County farmers are tending to the their crops, organizers of the Mammoth Lakes Farmer’s Market are preparing the Main Street frontage road for another season of fresh produce, entertainment, artists, and fun.

The Farmer’s Market will begin on Wednesday, June 15 (crops permitting) and will continue weekly on Wednesdays from 4-7 p.m. until the end of September. A special Farmer’s Market event will take place on Wednesday, July 6 to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Devil’s Postpile.

New this year, the market will be located in front of the Luxury Outlet Mall, and traffic on the frontage road will be re-routed to create a more pedestrian friendly environment. Also new this year, organizers are welcoming artists, craftspeaople, retailers, and non-profit groups to join in the fun. Local bands and entertainers are also welcome to come and showcase their talents.

If you grow it, make it, speak it, or sing it, you should be participating in the Mammoth Lakes Farmer’s Market.  Space is limited.
