Mammoth Lakes Tourism picks John Urdi as new Executive Director

Mammoth Lakes Tourism, the newly formed Destination Marketing Organization (DMO), announced recently that John Urdi has been appointed as its first Executive Director. A media release said that Urdi brings to this new role an extensive record of success in mountain resort marketing, most recently as the Director of Marketing and Sales at Grand Targhee Resort in Alta, Wyo.

“John was unanimously selected by the Board and we are excited to have an executive with his level of experience and accomplishment in destination resort marketing” said Teri Stehlik, the Mammoth Lakes Tourism Board Chair.

Prior to his role at Grand Targhee, Mr. Urdi served as Director of Marketing and Sales at Colorado Ski Country USA and was formerly the Vice President of Marketing at Attitash Resort, an American Skiing Company Resort, in New Hampshire.

Urdi and his wife and their two children are excited to relocate at the end of this month to Mammoth Lakes. His official start date will be July 26. A press conference with Urdi and the DMO’s Board of Directors will be held on July 8, at 8:30 a.m. in the Mammoth Lakes Tourism Conference Room.
