The Bishop Police Department responded to the 400 block of Hammond St. in Bishop on Tuesday, July 5 to discover a deceased couple inside their home, according to a press release.

Dee and Daniel Dean, both of Bishop, were not named in the press release but several sources have confirmed they were the deceased couple. “The preliminary investigation tends to show a strained relationship between husband and wife that, sadly, ended in tragedy,” stated the Bishop PD’s press release.

Dee Dean had filed for divorce from her husband Dan Dean, who owned Dan Dean Trucking, on June 23, according to Pam Foster at the Inyo County Courthouse. Dee Dean had cited irreconcilable differences in her filing.
