Fat Albert’s fat contract at risk

World Cup? Basketball? Screw that. Nothing compares to football.

Brad Childress should SHUT UP!!! The Minnesota coach was on TV saying he was pissed off because RB Adrian Peterson was missing camp because he was being honored at Adrian Peterson Day in Texas. I mean Brad was pissed off and in front of a camera bitching. And somewhere in Kiln, Mississippi Brett Favre was laughing his ass off and saying. “You, Brad, are the dumbest coach on the planet.”

This is what happens when you let Brett Favre skip all of the camps last year as well as most of training camp. And then let him do it again. And he somehow expects that other superstars won’t also expect the superstar treatment. Childress set the precedent! It was just a matter of time before someone challenged him on this issue and the whole thing blew up. And don’t tell me Favre doesn’t need the work like Peterson does.

Speaking of personnel issues, the Jets can’t get Darrelle Revis to agree to a reasonable contract. And they can’t figure out why. Because the Jets coaches and players were on TV and in the media all last year saying how “Revis is the best defensive player in the league.” And coining the phrase  “Revis Island.”

Now that it’s time to pay him, they don’t want to pay “best defensive player” or even “best at his position” money.
Everyone expects the Jets to contend for the Super Bowl. They are going to be 8-8 and QB Mark Sanchez will end up spending at least some time on the bench.

The NFL is contemplating an extension to 18-game seasons at the same time they are promoting concussion awareness. Hilarious. No way they should extend the season. The players are way too beat up as it is.

They say they will make more TV money, but then, they will also have to expand the rosters and pay more players … so will they really make more? Only if they put in some kind of rookie salary cap and quit paying those ridicucontracts. That is why the Redskins are so stupid. They had history on Fat Albert Haynesworth and still overpaid his ass. How many Pork Rind and YooHoo combos can you buy with $100 million?

From a March, 2009 column: “Redskins. Redskins. Come on. Every year they throw around money like Pacman Jones at Magic City. But that hasn’t made them good since … NEVER. They will rue the day they signed Haynesworth to that big-ass contract. They will be surprised to see his offseason workout program is to get a spot on the Biggest Loser after he uses their $100 million to buy Hooters and Krispy Kreme franchises and put them both in his basement. He will be their Dana Stubblefield, Deion Sanders, James Washington, Adam Archuleta, Lavar Arrington, Steve Spurrier and Jason Taylor all in one. They are stupid. AND I KNOW signing DeAngelo ‘I can’t cover leftovers with Saran Wrap’ Hall will also blow up on them.”

I wrote that over a year ago. The funniest thing is, the team knew a couple of months ago he was a problem, but they went ahead and paid him a $21 million roster bonus. Now they are pissed ‘cause he took the money and won’t come in. They say “we thought when he took the check he was committed to come back.” Really? History suggested otherwise. They’re getting what they deserve.

And then there’s Coach Mike Shanahan. Watch this one. He brought in his son to be Offensive Coordinator … one of those bulls$#@ college basketball moves. Dad hires son, then leaves and turns team over to son who is not qualified for the job.

Vince Young. I can no longer defend this jackass. I can be in a strip club at 3 a.m. No one cares. Vince can be there, too, but if he had half a brain, he wouldn’t be caught on security camera climbing over a female to get to a guy he wants to fight because the guy …  flashed him the Upside Down Hook’em Horns sign. Right. Vince says you can’t disrespect the University of Texas.

The two people happiest with Vince are obviously Steeler QB Ben Roethlisberger, as the spotlight’s no longer on him, and Titan RB Chris Johnson, who is holding out for a contract and now the team’s QB is in trouble … CHA-CHING FOR CHRIS JOHNSON. Open the cash register, baby. If they don’t sign Johnson, why bother playing the 2010-2011 season?
Pete Carroll. If Seahawk fans haven’t figured out yet that they have a con artist as head coach in Pete Carroll, then they deserve the screwing that is inevitably coming to them. All the stuff that happened at USC with agents and people hanging out in their locker room and him saying it was “unfounded” and “he didn’t know about it” is ridiculous. He knew and he bolted when he knew it was going to blow up. All his former players say he screwed them. I still remember him trying to dog Lofa Tatupu for leaving school early. And dogging Mark Sanchez when he left. ‘Cause that didn’t benefit Pete Carroll.

Former USC RB Reggie Bush wants to help USC fight the sanctions. Yes, the same Reggie Bush who is the reason for the sanctions. Shut up, Reggie.

Hall of Famers? How is it that as soon as any player has 3 good years everyone starts talking about that person being a future hall of famer? They used to reserve that for players near the end of long careers. Now, Pitcher Stephen Strasberg is being called a future hall of famer … after pitching 2 major league games.

Tiger Woods. This week he wins the US Open and scares the s$#@ out of his fellow tour pros again.

And me and Fat Albert Haynesworth are going to Krispy Kreme, Hooters and a Strip Club. It is fun having a fat, lazy friend with no job and loads of dough.
