Soccer Shines

Mammoth AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization) competed in the annual Area 2F All-Star Tournament in Carson City on November 7-8, 2009. Mammoth was represented by All Star teams in ten different divisions (126 players) taking on opponents from Bishop, Smith Valley, Carson Valley, Carson City, South Lake Tahoe, Incline Village, North Lake Tahoe, and Truckee in round-robin tournaments.
Of Mammoth’s 10 teams, 7 made the Championship match: U10 Girls, U12 Boys ‘B’, U12 Girls, U14 Boys & Girls and both U19 coed teams. When the final whistle blew on Sunday afternoon, 2 teams were victorious. Congratulations to the U12 Girls and U19 Coed “Team 1” for winning the 2009 Kit Carson Area 2F All Star Tournament!
The Regional Commissioner would like to thank the coaches, parents, volunteers and players for committing their valuable time and resources to Mammoth AYSO soccer, and our All Star Teams. See you next season!
