The Mono County Sheriff’s Department conducted an investigation into the death of a June Lake resident. On Tuesday, September 27, at approximately 11 a.m., a Mono County Sheriff’s Department Deputy along with Mono County Paramedics and the June Lake Fire Department were dispatched to a residence in June Lake with the report of a man that had possibly committed suicide. When a Mono County Deputy Sheriff arrived, he found the man, identified as Charles William Dailey, 71, of June Lake, to be deceased from an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound. Autopsy results confirmed the incident was a suicide and not a suspicious death. –MCSD
